Mangaluru: In a move aimed at enhancing intercity travel Facility, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has launched its upgraded 'Pallakki' non-AC sleeper service on the Mangaluru-Mantralayam route.

The service was formally flagged off on April 17 at 4 pm in Mangaluru.

The inauguration ceremony took place near the Mahaganapathi Temple, where traditional rituals and prayers were performed to mark the beginning of the upgraded service.

The new sleeper service was inaugurated by Vedavyas Kamath, who flagged off the bus in the presence of officials and passengers. The event marked an important addition to KSRTC's long-distance travel network from the coastal city.

Officials highlighted that the 'Pallakki' sleeper buses are designed to offer improved comfort, especially for overnight journeys, making them suitable for passengers travelling long distances.

The upgraded 'Pallakki' non-AC sleeper service has been introduced with a focus on passenger convenience and relax. The service is expected to benefit travellers commuting between Mangaluru and Mantralayam, a well-known pilgrimage destination.
