New Delhi: Fresh from his dominant victory at the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026, Javokhir Sindarov has set his sights on a high-stakes World Chess Championship clash against reigning champion D Gukesh later this year.
Sindarov sealed the Candidates title in emphatic fashion, finishing unbeaten and securing 9.5 points by the end of Round 13. His commanding performance allowed him to clinch the tournament with a round to spare, underlining his growing stature in global chess.
