Seattle: The first-ever life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda in the United States was unveiled in Seattle, marking a significant cultural milestone and honouring the renowned Indian spiritual leader.
The bronze statue has been installed at Westlake Square, a prominent public space in downtown Seattle, making it the first such installation hosted by a city government anywhere in the US.
The statue was sculpted by Indian artist Naresh Kumar Kumawat and was jointly unveiled on April 11 by Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and India's Consul General in Seattle Prakash Gupta.
