Sonali Mishra, Director General of the Railway Protection Force, conducted a day-long inspection of four major railway stations in Bengaluru on Monday, focusing on passenger safety, crowd management and modern security systems.

The senior officer visited Bengaluru Cantonment railway station, KSR Bengaluru railway station, KR Puram railway station and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru as part of the review.

With summer travel increasing passenger footfall, the inspection centred on holding areas, crowd movement plans and the readiness of station staff to manage rush-hour situations.

She also reviewed baggage scanners, passenger amenities and CCTV surveillance systems to ensure stations remain secure and efficient during peak travel days.

At KSR Bengaluru railway station, Mishra inspected the Integrated CCTV Command Centre and assessed camera clarity, live feed quality, coverage and technical performance.

She directed officials to further strengthen monitoring systems and upgrade surveillance where required.

At Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru, the focus was on crowd management and deployment of RPF staff at entry and exit points. At KR Puram railway station, overall station security arrangements were reviewed.
