Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today said three bullet trains have been sanctioned for Telangana.

These high-speed corridors will connect Hyderabad to Bengaluru, Shamshabad to Pune, and Shamshabad to Amaravati and Chennai.

Seven bullet trains

CM Reddy announced that of the seven bullet train projects sanctioned nationwide, three have been allocated to Telangana.

"These projects will transform the Rangareddy district into a primary engine for growth," the CM stated, noting that the Future City Development Corporation office is set to be inaugurated by June 2.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Future City Police Commissionerate today.

He reaffirmed his commitment to transform metropolis like Singapore, Tokyo, and New York.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister addressed key concerns regarding land acquisition, regional connectivity, and political opposition, framing the `Bharat Future City' as a monumental `Yagna' for the state's progress.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the Future City is designed to be a premier destination for global investors. A major pillar of this growth will be the massive expansion of the rail network.

Farmer welfare and grassroots inclusion

Addressing the concerns of local landowners, the Chief Minister assured farmers that the government would provide "good compensation" and protect their interests. "Our government will ensure that no one suffers. The officials have been ordered to consider the plight of the poor and underprivileged with compassion," Reddy said.

In a show of decentralized governance, the CM directed officials to conduct Gram Sabhas (village meetings) to allow residents to decide whether their villages should be included within the jurisdiction of the new Commissionerate and Future City limits.

Blames Opposition

The Chief Minister did not mince words when addressing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Using mythological metaphors, he likened the opposition's efforts to disrupt the project to demons trying to stall a holy ritual.

He compared the BRS leadership to "Shukracharya" staying in a farmhouse, deploying "Maricha and Subahu" (demons) to sabotage development. He urged the public not to take the opposition's criticisms seriously, alleging that some comments were made in an "inebriated condition" and aimed solely at spreading misinformation.

Olive branch to Maoists

In a notable shift toward internal security and social reintegration, CM Reddy issued a formal appeal to Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream. He promised that the state government is ready to provide comprehensive rehabilitation, address health ailments, and ensure the safety and security of those who choose to return to society.

D Sridhar Babu named contact person

With State Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu appointed as the point of contact for local grievances, the government plans to host review meetings and invite direct investments from within the Future City itself. Drawing parallels to the once-criticized Outer Ring Road (ORR), the CM concluded that while there may be skeptics today, the Future City will soon stand as a "magnificent marvel" for the world to see.
