Hyderabad: At the Cannes Film Festival in May, a film about Hyderabad's glorious past in association with Taramati Baradari found a special place among international audiences.

The film will also be introduced to Hyderabadis on June 3. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will launch the trailer of 'Chand Tara - The Legend of Taramati' during a special event at Taramati Baradari Auditorium on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

The launch assumes special significance as the film's trailer has recently premiered at the prestigious festival, bringing the legendary tale of Taramati and the cultural legacy of Hyderabad to the world.

A tribute to Hyderabad by Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation

Directed by acclaimed theatre personality and filmmaker Mohammad Ali Baig, the trailer launch is organised by the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation for the 42nd anniversary of legendary theatre icon Qadir Ali Baig, whose contribution to Indian theatre continues to inspire artists across generations.

What is the film about?

Chand Tara - The Legend of Taramati is a cinematic retelling of one of the Deccan's most celebrated legends.

Set against the backdrop of Hyderabad's glorious past, the film seeks to bring alive the romance, music, and cultural grandeur associated with Taramati, whose name remains inseparably linked with the iconic Taramati Baradari.

Produced by the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation with support from Telangana Tourism and HMDA, the film is expected to be a significant cultural milestone showcasing Telangana's heritage to audiences in India and abroad.
