Indian Association of Clinical Cardiologists
The Indian Association of Clinical Cardiologists (IACC) is a non-profit organisation that aims at eradicating the cardio-vascular mortality in rural India by means of Clinical Cardiology, Preventive Cardiology and Continuing Medical Education (CME). It also encourages interests of clinical cardiologists across the country who promote primary and secondary prevention of cardio-vascular diseases.
The association is headed by IACC President Dr. Rajesh Rajan. The organisation has Dr. Manoj Gerela, Dr. V K Jagnany and Dr. P Mohan as the Vice Presidents. The association has strengthened its capabilities with inputs from Chief Patrons like Padma Bhushan Dr. Devi Prasad Sheetty and Padma Shri Dr. Govindan Vijayaraghavan. The headquarters of IACC are in Malappuram, Kerala.The non-profit organisation internationally represents India at the World Heart Foundation.
The organisation boasts of more than 2600 Clinical Cardiologists as well as Preventive Cardiology specialists who can offer cardiology services to any part of the world. The association also organises an annual 4-day organisational conference named IACCCON in the interest of the members. After successfully conducting annual conferences in Trivandrum, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ooty, Delhi and Ranchi since 2010, IACC has scheduled its next conference in Bhubaneshwar during November 17-19, 2017. The annual organisational conference is aimed to share the latest cardiology updates between the members and the distinguished guest speaker at the conference.
IACC has been actively functioning in the healthcare arena of cardiovascular diseases to bring awareness and improvement in cardiology hospitals in India.
