Travelling by train like any other elderly woman, she attracted no attention, while concealing deadly weapons in her clothes or a small bag.
Police revealed that Rambiri frequently travelled from Meerut to Khargone and Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Khargone is notorious for illegal arms manufacturing. From there, she would return to Delhi or Meerut to supply weapons, quietly eating the parathas she packed from home along the way.
Age As Her Greatest Shield
According to officers, Rambiri was selected by the syndicate precisely because of her age. Security checks usually focus on young or suspicious-looking men, rarely suspecting a 67-year-old woman. Her calm demeanour and simplicity helped her evade law enforcement for years.
Rambiri's run ended on January 9, 2026. Acting on a tip-off, Delhi Police's Special Cell and local police laid a trap near Shakur Basti railway station. When they searched her belongings, they were stunned to find four sophisticated weapons and three magazines. She was allegedly bringing them from Khargone to supply a gang in Delhi-NCR.
