Sometimes, all it takes is one perfectly timed movie scene to change everything. For Bahraini rapper Flipperachi, a brief but high-impact moment in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar turned his 2024 track FA9LA into a global chart-topper and eventually, a Guinness World Record holder.

The song was featured in a scene involving Akshaye Khanna in Dhurandhar, a film that stars Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun and Akshaye Khanna. While the film boosted the song's visibility in India, it also gave FA9LA a fresh surge on the Arabic Billboard, more than a year after its original release. This resurgence came despite the film being banned in several Gulf nations.

The milestone was revealed when the Arab Billboard team, along with Guinness World Records Arabia, surprised Flipperachi during a photoshoot. A video shared by the teams showed the rapper being informed that FA9LA had broken the record for the most Billboard charts topped simultaneously by a single song. As of January 1, the track was leading four different Arabic Billboard charts. Reacting to the moment, the 37-year-old described the achievement as a "nuclear explosion".

Speaking about how the song made its way into Dhurandhar, Flipperachi recalled the unexpected turn of events. "I was shocked the first time I saw it blowing up on social media. We suddenly got a deal from over there, and they said they wanted the song FA9LA because it would fit this scene in the movie. They placed it in a scene with an actor who has been off-screen for maybe ten years. Boom, he danced to it and boom."

Originally released in May 2024, FA9LA (pronounced Faasla) found global recognition after Dhurandhar premiered on Netflix in December 2025. The song, paired with Akshaye Khanna's dance sequence, quickly went viral online, drawing attention from audiences well beyond the Arab music circuit. The renewed popularity arrives just ahead of Flipperachi's first-ever India tour, which begins on March 14 at the UN40 Music Festival in Bengaluru.

Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Aseem, has been a part of the Arab hip-hop scene for over two decades. He carved a niche for himself by rapping in Arabic at a time when English dominated the genre.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar - featuring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna and R Madhavan - was released on Netflix on January 30 after earning over ₹1328 crore worldwide. A sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19.
