Ward No. 25D is one of the four sub-wards of Ward No. 25 of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The PMC has a total of 41 wards spread across Pune, representing 165 corporators. This sub-ward is reserved for General. Ward No. 25, to which this sub-ward belongs, has a total population of 76262, of which 1158 belong to the Scheduled Castes and 502 belong to the Scheduled Tribes.
The extent of Ward 1 of Pune Municipal Corporation as published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette is as follows: Location: Shaniwar Peth, Narayan Peth, Shukrawar Peth (Part), Subhash Nagar, Madiwale Colony, Shaniwar Wada, Mahatma Phule Mandai, Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya, Sadashiv Peth (Part), Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Kabir Bagh, Ahilyadevi High School for Girls, Hujurpaga, New English School Ramanbagh, Tulshibagh, Shanipar, Renuka Swarup School, Bhave High School, Bharat Natya Mandir, Telephone Exchange (Bajirao Road), etc. North: From the intersection of Sambhaji Bridge and Mutha River, towards north-east crossing Maharshi Vitthal Shinde Bridge, along Muthal River to meet Shivaji Road on Shivaji Bridge. East: From the intersection of Mutha River and Shivaji Road at Shivaji Bridge, then towards south along Shivaji Road to meet N.C. Kelkar Road, then towards east along N.C. The last Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections were held on February 21, 2017, in which Bharatiya Janata Party was the single largest party with 97 seats, while Nationalist Congress Party won 39 seats. Shiv Sena secured 10 seats, Indian National Congress won nine seats, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena won two seats and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen won a single seat. Four Independent candidates were also elected as corporators in the election. The next election is scheduled to take place on 15 January 2026, with the counting of votes on 16 January 2026.
