Seoul: Three BTS members have sold of some of their shares in Hybe Corporation, the management company that launched them for a combined $8.4 million. However, unfortunately, all seven of the BTS idols are going to miss the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMAs) awards show in Seoul.

According to a report by the Bloomberg Jin, J-Hope, and RM sold close to 32,000 shares in Hybe, previously known as Big Hit Entertainment. Incidentally, before the company listed on the stock market 14 months back, Hybe had granted the seven band members a combined 479,000 shares, which have doubled in value since the IPO and are now worth over $165 million.
As per the report, the band is trying to maximise its income before gap where they have to sign up for Korea's mandatory military service.
Currently, the band members are in Los Angeles, where they performed their first live in-person concert in over a year following the COVID-19 pandemic. Their return to Korea, on Friday, will however, fall under quarantine measures.
The 10-day mandatory self-quarantine will make the group unable to attend the MAMA show.
The MAMAs are currently scheduled to be held as an in-person event on December 11, 2021. As per the report, health authorities in South Korea have said that all international arrivals will be required to undergo mandatory quarantine for 10 days for the next two weeks starting Friday. This is regardless of the fact that the persons are vaccinated or not.
