Marvel Studios has two big movies coming up Spider-Man: Brand New Day in July and Avengers: Doomsday in December. Even though fans are excited, Marvel did not release any trailers during the Super Bowl this year, breaking a tradition it had followed for 16 years.
For a long time, Marvel used the Super Bowl to show its biggest trailers. But this time, the decision seems planned. One big reason is money a short Super Bowl ad now costs around $8-10 million. Marvel has already released several teasers recently, so spending that much again didn't make much sense.
Another reason is timing. Avengers: Doomsday is still far away, and Marvel has plenty of time to build hype later. Disney also has many big films coming out this year, so the studio will stay in the spotlight anyway. Even other major films like Dune: Part Three haven't shown trailers yet.
Fans are more confused about Spider-Man: Brand New Day, since there hasn't been any official footage yet. But because the film is made with Sony, its marketing plan is likely different and closer to the release date.
About Avengers Doomsday:
Avengers: Doomsday will release in theatres on December 18, 2026. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Channing Tatum, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejía, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming and Rebecca Romijn will star in the film.
About Spider-Man Brand New Day:
The movie will star Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando.
While talking about her role in the fil, Sadie Sink said, "I found out through online theories. Like, before I got cast in Spider-Man, like, there was speculation online that said, 'Sadie Sink is going to be in the new Spider-Man. I was like, 'Hmm? I am?' And sure enough, two days later, they asked me to do it. So yeah, those theories, there's sometimes some truth to it."
She added, "I had an amazing time working on that film. I can't wait to talk about it more. There's so much I want to share. That's why I feel like keeping Stranger Things secrets are kind of easy because I have so many Spider-Man secrets I'm sitting on that feel even more secretive."
It will be a part of MCU's Phase Six and will release in theatres on July 31, 2026.
