Miraya is the daughter of senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and businessman Robert Vadra and the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Miraya studied at Welham Girls' School in Dehradun, one of India's well-known boarding schools. Unlike many political heirs, she has shown interests beyond academics and politics.
