Singer Badshah and Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi on Monday announced their divorce, ending weeks of speculation about their relationship. The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in March, confirmed the news in a joint statement on Instagram.
'I and Isha Rikhi have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we request everyone to kindly respect our privacy during this time,' the statement read.
'This will be our only statement on the matter. We sincerely request that there be no further speculation or assumptions regarding our relationship,' the rapper wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Isha Rikhi's cryptic post hinted at trouble in marriage
The separation comes after Badshah and Isha Rikhi's rocky marriage started doing the rounds on social media in July. Isha Rikhi had indicated the same in an Instagram post.
'There are battles that leave no visible scars. For a long time, I remained silent because I was afraid. I felt overwhelmed by the influence, power, and resources I believed my husband had, and I convinced myself that staying quiet was the safest thing to do. Silence was never acceptance. It was survival. Today, I'm choosing courage over fear. I may not be ready to tell the whole story, but I'm finally ready to stop pretending that everything was okay,' it read.
Rikhi, in fact, shared several photos and videos featuring herself and Badshah in July. 'Every storm is a lesson. Every prayer is hope,' she wrote in the post, followed by heartbreak and folded-hands emojis.
Couple made marriage public earlier this year
Badshah and Isha Rikhi's relationship became public in March 2026, when the actress's mother, Poonam Rikhi, shared pictures and videos from their wedding. One month later, the singer shared pictures with his wife without revealing her face and wrote, 'Universe has a strange way of putting people in your life.'
In June, Isha also confirmed her marriage to Badshah in an Instagram Ask Me Anything session. The separation news comes in the wake of rumours that she could be one of the contestants on reality show Bigg Boss 20.
Badshah's previous marriage
Badshah's previous marriage to Jasmine Masih ended in 2020. They had a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, born in January 2017.
