Delhi Capitals played against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai where heated confrontation unfolded between Nitish Rana and the umpire.
The incident happened when the umpire denied Tristan Stubbs to change his glove and the disagreement quickly turned into an on-field exchange. The situation turned even worse when moments later Stubbs was dismissed on the very next-delivery.

Stubbs appeared to be very uncomfortable while he was batting and the sweaty gloves were affecting his grip. Following which Rana intervened and questioned the umpire after he denied the request to change the glove. But the umpire remained adamant on his decision and stated that the rules only allow glove change at a specific interval.
What do the rules say?
In the rules, the batters are allowed to change the equipment such as the gloves, pads or helmets but only at specific breaks. Rana appeared to be very frustrated and mentioned that such adjustments have previously been allowed in the past matches.
DC faces a defeat by 23 runs
In the match, batting first - CSK registered a huge total of 212 runs with Sanju Samson scoring a century. Ayush Mhatre also prerformed exceptionally well and scored 59 runs, powering CSK towards such a strong total.
For Delhi Capitals, Tristan Stubbs was batting very well at 60 runs before he got dismissed followed by Pathum Nissanka who scored 41 runs. Delhi was unable to chase the total and could only score189 runs.
