Assembly Elections Exit Poll Results 2026 Highlights: The much-awaited exit polls for the 2026 Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and the Union Territory of Puducherry will be released this evening.
These polls are expected to give the first broad sense of voter mood after weeks of intense campaigning and voting across regions.
Exit Poll Results 2026 State-Wise
Polling across all five regions saw strong participation, which could play a key role in shaping the final results. Assam recorded a high turnout of 85.96 per cent among its 2.5 crore voters. Puducherry went a step further, registering 89.87 per cent voting, its highest turnout since 1964.
Tamil Nadu, which voted in a single phase on April 23, saw around 82.24 per cent turnout across its 234 constituencies. Officials reported steady voter queues till the end of polling hours. West Bengal, where elections are being held in two phases, also witnessed heavy participation. The first phase recorded over 90 per cent turnout, while the second phase is ongoing with more than 60 per cent voting recorded till early afternoon.
Kerala, which voted on April 9, continued its tradition of high voter engagement, reporting strong turnout figures.
What Exit Poll Trends Indicate
One of the key highlights this election season is the higher participation of women voters compared to men in several states. This trend could influence the final outcome significantly.
However, exit polls only provide an early indication and are not final results. The actual outcome will be known on counting day, and voters are advised to treat these projections with caution.
