Infinix has unveiled its latest gaming-focused smartphone, the Infinix GT 50 Pro, in global markets. Positioned as a successor to the GT 30 Pro, the new device brings a strong focus on performance, gaming features and battery life, making it an appealing option for mobile gamers and power users.
Design and gaming-focused features
Infinix GT 50 Pro continues the brand's bold gaming design language with aggressive styling and RGB-inspired aesthetics. One of its standout features is the pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, designed to deliver a console-like gaming experience.
These triggers support up to 10 pressure levels and multiple mapping points, allowing users to customise controls for games, quick-launch apps or even control media playback. The build is also designed for durability, with claims of handling millions of presses over time.
Display and visuals
The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate that goes up to 144Hz. This ensures smooth visuals, especially during gaming and scrolling.
It also offers high brightness levels, wide colour coverage and TÜV certification for eye protection. Combined with a high touch sampling rate, the display is tuned for fast and responsive interactions.
Performance and chipset
Under the hood, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, built on a 4nm process. It is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, delivering fast performance and efficient multitasking.
The device also includes advanced cooling technology with a liquid cooling system to manage heat during extended gaming sessions.
Camera setup
In terms of optics, the phone features a 50MP primary camera with OIS, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 13MP front camera.
While the device is clearly gaming-focused, the camera setup is designed to deliver solid performance for everyday photography.
Battery and charging
Infinix GT 50 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery, which should easily last through long gaming sessions and daily usage. It supports 45W fast charging, along with wireless charging and reverse charging options.
The inclusion of bypass charging is particularly useful for gamers, as it helps reduce heat while playing and charging at the same time.
Software and connectivity
The smartphone runs on Android 16-based XOS 16, offering a custom interface with gaming-centric optimisations. It also includes features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, X-axis linear motor and IR blaster.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC, ensuring fast and stable connections.
