International Film Festival of Delhi wraps up with 'Shatak' screening at Bharat Mandapam

The International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) concluded at Bharat Mandapam with special screenings of Shatak: Sangh ke 100 Varsh and a short film on Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai.

Many residents, film lovers, and people from the film industry attended the closing day.

Delhi's Minister for Art, Culture & Languages and Tourism, Kapil Mishra, was present at the event. He praised the filmmakers and said such films help young people learn about important national figures and their contributions.

Shatak: Sangh ke 100 Varsh shows the 100 year journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). It highlights the ideas and leadership of Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar, and Balasaheb Deoras, along with the organisation's role in key national and social work.

Speaking at the event, Kapil Mishra said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed Ram Temple, Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakal, Somnath, Kedarnath and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi into grand structures."

He added, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the resolutions of RSS and BJP are being fulfilled." Highlighting Delhi's growth as a cultural hub, he said, "Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi is emerging as a creative capital and entertainment hub."

About International Film Festival of Delhi

The first International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD) 2026 was held from March 25 to March 31. It was organised by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) under the Delhi Film Policy to promote Delhi as a global film hub.

The festival showcased over 125 films from 47 countries, including Hindi films, regional Indian cinema, and international movies. All screenings were free for the public with prior registration. The event was attended by well known celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Hema Malini, Kangana Ranaut, Arjun Kapoor, and Nimrat Kaur.
