KKR vs SRH: It felt like one of those nights where everything clicked. Sunrisers Hyderabad didn't just win. They made a statement. A 65-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens wasn't just about points.
It was about control, intent, and execution.
Head-Abhishek set the tone early
SRH came out blazing. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma didn't wait around. They attacked from ball one. 82 runs in just 34 balls. Head smashed 46 off 21. Abhishek followed closely with 48 off 21. KKR were on the back foot almost instantly.
Middle overs dip, then Klaasen-Reddy took over
After that explosive start, SRH slowed down a bit. Ishan Kishan couldn't build on the momentum and the middle order looked slightly shaky. That's when the game needed calm heads. Heinrich Klaasen stepped up along with Nitish Kumar Reddy. Their 82-run partnership was the backbone of the innings. Klaasen's 52 was controlled and smart. Reddy's 39 was equally important. Together, they pushed SRH to a daunting 226.
Muzarabani fights lone battle for KKR
There weren't many positives for KKR with the ball but Blessing Muzarabani stood out. 4 wickets for 41 runs. He kept coming back, he kept asking questions but the rest couldn't support him enough.
Finn Allen's blitz gives KKR hope
Chasing 227, KKR needed something special. Finn Allen delivered just that - 28 runs off 7 balls. It was explosive and fearless. For a moment, it felt like the chase was on.
Collapse follows despite Raghuvanshi, Rinku fight
But T20s can turn quickly. Wickets started falling and pressure built up. Angkrish Raghuvanshi tried to hold things together with a quick 52. Rinku Singh added 35 but there was no real partnership. Too many breaks and too many mistakes. KKR never quite recovered.
SRH bowlers seal the deal
With a big total behind them, SRH's bowlers stayed disciplined. Jaydev Unadkat led the charge with 3/21. Support came from Eshan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy, both picking up two wickets each. KKR were bowled out for 161.
