Lucknow Super Giants issued a strong message after the post-match video that featured Rishabh Pant and owner Sanjiv Goenka went viral.
There were comparisons with the controversial KL Rahul incident from the 2024. Following which LSG released a video calling it the original one but despite the clarification, fans remained skeptical and couldn't believe the video.
LSG's poor performance and Goenka's intense chat with Pant
LSG faced a six-wicket loss at the Ekana Stadium following which there were concerns about team's performance and the post-match visuals grabbed more attention and became a talking point across all social media platforms.
The broadcast footage showed that Goenka was involved in intense conversation with Rishabh Pant and head coach Justin Langer but the audio which absent. This led to widespread debate and theories where people started comparing it with what happened with KL Rahul in 2024.
LSG releases "unfiltered" post-match clip
In response to this backlash, LSG released another video which was described as a "unfiltered" one. With a caption - "Not everything you see is the true story, here's the unfiltered post-match vibes, when cameras don't cut."
The clip was portrayed as more relaxed and showed Pant and Goenka sharing a hug. But despite franchise's efforts the fans were not convinced and the observers pointed out the details such as the empty stands in the background and raised questions that the footage might have been reshot to clean their image.
