JEE Mains session 2 result 2026: Tie-breaking order
When two or more candidates have the same total NTA percentile score in JEE Main 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) follows a step-by-step tie-breaking process to decide ranks.
First, the candidate with a higher percentile in Mathematics is given preference. If that is also the same, the Physics percentile is considered. If the tie still continues, the Chemistry percentile is compared. If all three subject scores are equal, the older candidate is ranked higher.
