Kareena Kapoor expressed happiness for her sister Karisma Kapoor after the Delhi High Court ruled in favour of her elder sister, allowing the interim injunction plea filed by the children of her sister, Karisma Kapoor.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday ordered the maintenance of status quo on the estates of late Sunjay Kapur.

What decision did Delhi High Court give for Karisma Kapoor in Sunjay Kapur's estate case?

According to news agency ANI, the Delhi High Court ordered the submission of account statements and also asked to put on hold the operation of foreign bank accounts and cryptocurrency holdings. It also stated that the need to preserve the estate must be answered in the affirmative, observing that since the trial may take time, the assets should be kept safe in the interim. The court further said that all valid concerns raised by the petitioners must be addressed by defendant No. 1, Priya Kapur.

Karisma Kapoor and her children's case was represented by senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani. Late industrialist Sunjay Kapur's children filed the injunction plea from his previous marriage with Karisma, who have challenged the authenticity of the will. Jethmalani emphasised the alleged variability in the will, including its language, lack of registration, and questions over its preparation.

Sunjay Kapur tied the knot thrice. While his first marriage was with Nandita Mahtani, a famous fashion designer, his second wife was actress Karisma Kapoor. However, just like his previous wedding, Sunjay's second marriage with Karisma also couldn't sustain. The two had two kids - daughter Samaira (born in 2005) and son Kiaan (born in 2010).
