Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is just days away from its grand finale, with the winner expected to be announced on August 5 by hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh.
As the competition enters its final stretch, emotions are running high inside the jail, and the latest episode delivered one of the season's most talked-about moments involving rumoured couple Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi.
The remaining contestants include Harshad Chopda, Shivangi Joshi, Ram Kapoor, Akanksha Chamola, Shreya Kalra, Varun Yadav, Yogesh Rawat, and wildcard entrant Shilpa Shinde.
Harshad and Shivangi Face Off for Finale Spot
During a crucial task, Riteish Deshmukh asked contestants to leave a room one by one, with each decision offering different advantages in the game. The challenge eventually came down to Harshad Chopda, Shivangi Joshi, and Akanksha Chamola, with only one contestant guaranteed a place in the finale.
Shivangi stood firm, insisting that she deserved to be a finalist based on her performance throughout the season. Harshad, however, admitted that he had often prioritised others over himself and felt this was his last opportunity to fight for his own place in the competition.
In an emotional moment, Harshad revealed that he had intentionally lost a previous task to help Shivangi. Akanksha questioned why he chose to disclose that at such a critical stage of the game. Eventually, Shivangi stepped aside, allowing Harshad to secure the first finalist position. Despite her decision, she later told fellow contestant Shreya Kalra that she did not believe Harshad deserved the spot more than she did.
Huma Qureshi and Bhumi Pednekar Enter the Jail
Ahead of the finale week, actors Huma Qureshi and Bhumi Pednekar entered the Lock Upp house to interact with the contestants and discuss their journeys, changing equations and unresolved conflicts. Speaking about the show, Huma praised its popularity, saying she had been following it closely through Netflix as well as social media. 'Lock Upp is one of the most talked-about shows right now. My Instagram feed is full of Lock Upp clips. Farah and Riteish have taken the format to another level, and this season has some really strong contestants,' she said.
Bhumi also shared her excitement about visiting the jail and interacting with the contestants. 'I've been following the show and was excited to meet everyone in person. Farah and Riteish bring so much energy to the show. They ask tough questions while also guiding the contestants, and they've balanced both roles beautifully,' she said.
Grand Finale Around the Corner
With Harshad Chopda becoming the first confirmed finalist, the race for the remaining spots has become even more intense. As rivalries deepen and emotions continue to run high, the final episodes are expected to bring more twists before the winner of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is crowned on August 5.
