While Ranveer Singh-Aditya Dhar's spy thriller Dhurandhar 2 has been dominating the box office since its release on March 19, Hollywood's Project Hail Mary, released on March 26, has now started making waves in Indian theatres after struggling initially to get screens.
The film was originally set to release globally on March 20, 2026, but in India it was pushed to March 26 to avoid clashing with Dhurandhar 2. Since releasing in India on March 26, it has already broken several records.

Project Hail Mary continues to perform steadily at the Indian box office. Estimates suggest the Ryan Gosling starrer added Rs 1.75 crore on its second Monday. In its first 12 days, the film has grossed Rs 46.75 crore in India.
Originally, the film was expected to finish its theatrical run around Rs 50 crore, but growing demand has boosted its prospects. Based on current trends, Project Hail Mary could finish its India run around Rs 70-75 crore.
Despite opening on just five IMAX screens, fan demand pushed the film to 60+ screens, and it grew further during its second weekend. With this performance, Project Hail Mary has now become the highest grossing space film in India, surpassing Interstellar and Gravity.
