Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by his Dutch counterpart Rob Jetten, held a meeting with 16 top CEOs of leading Dutch companies in the Netherlands on Saturday.

The firms were invited to design, innovate, and manufacture in India. The two leaders held official bilateral talks to elevate their relationship to a strategic partnership.

The Dutch companies spanned various sectors, including energy, health, ports, technology, and agricultural trade. According to reports, the business leaders shared insights on three clusters: Innovation, semiconductors, and technology; Sustainability, Energy, and Agriculture; and Infrastructure, logistics, and maritime, detailing their strategies focused on India.

ASML and Tata Electronics sign agreement ahead of meeting

Ahead of the meeting, an agreement was signed between ASML and Tata Electronics in the presence of the Indian PM and the Dutch PM. Both leaders welcomed the decision of Tata Electronics and ASML to join hands for India's first front-end semiconductor FAB in Gujarat's Dholera.

Prime Minister Modi welcomed the strengthening of business-to-business ties between the Netherlands and India and acknowledged the growing interest of Dutch companies in New Delhi's economic vibrancy. Highlighting the latest initiatives and reforms, PM Modi stressed steps to create a more business-friendly environment. Meanwhile, PM Modi encouraged the prominent Dutch firms to explore opportunities in India, especially in sectors including maritime, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, renewable energy, semiconductors, and healthcare.
