Prateek Yadav, the son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister late Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother of Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, died in a Lucknow hospital in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The 38-year-old was the husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav. He was rushed to the civil hospital after falling sick, where the doctors declared him dead.
Prateek Yadav's sudden death has left the entire family devastated. His postmortem has been completed at KGMU mortuary, and preparations are now underway to hand over the body to the family. However, the mystery surrounding Yadav's death remains unsolved.
Prateek Yadav was hospitalised multiple times
It is reported that Prateek Yadav had been battling lung clotting for an extended period. He had received medical treatment at several hospitals for this condition and was recently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, where he was subjected to diagnostic tests and treatment for lung clots. It has also been learnt that Prateek was also admitted to Medanta Hospital a few days ago. However, no official statement on the cause of his death has been issued by any family member yet.
What is the cause behind his death?
Akhilesh Yadav has pledged to ensure a thorough investigation of the matter. Although nothing suspicious has been found in the postmortem report, a lung disease could be a possible cause of the 38-year-old fitness entrepreneur's death, News 18 reported.
Why did his nails turn blue?
According to sources, the post-mortem report states that Pratik Yadav died a natural death. However, doctors have preserved his heart and viscera, which will be sent for examination later. According to doctors, at the time when Pratik was brought to the hospital, his pulse was completely low, and his heart had stopped. His nails and some parts of his body were pale blue. According to media reports, poisoning is suspected after examining his body.
