Ram Kapoor makes shocking revelation on Lock Upp 2

Revealing a secret he had hidden from everyone, including his wife and children, Ram Kapoor said, 'I have kept one secret from the world; even my wife doesn't know. During the show (Bade Achhe Lagte Hain), I went through the absolute worst depression of my life. I received so much love because of my weight, and I was talked about so much that I became the highest-rated TV star for a while.'

Doctors told Ram Kapoor that he could die

Ram then revealed that he kept gaining more and more weight. The actor then revealed a shocking truth and said, 'My doctors told me that I had become unhealthy and that I could die in six months. I could've had a diabetic stroke because I was on insulin three times a day. My sugar was between 400 and 600, and I was working for 14 hours a day. I didn't want to do anything about it because I was getting so much love and making so much money. How could I walk away from all that? I became a very ugly person.'

Ram Kapoor further revealed that his children became the biggest reason for him to keep going during the darkest phase of his life. He said that if he had not had kids, he might have made the same choice as Harshad. According to the actor, becoming a father gave him a reason to live, as he felt he had no right to give up on life when his children depended on him. He added that this realization ultimately saved him and is the only reason he is alive today.
