In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Prithviraj Sukumaran reflected on several performances from recent years that have left a lasting impression on him. During the same discussion, he opened up about his favourite Ranveer Singh film.
With everyone thinking that his favourite role of Singh had to be Hamza Ali Mazari from Dhurandhar and its sequel, to everyone's surprise, it was not that character. Opening up about the same, Sukumaran said that it was Ranveer's character, Rocky Randhawa, in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani that became a standout for him.
He said, 'For me, one of his finest performances is Rocky in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He was so good. I know people talk about Dhurandhar; he was amazing in Dhurandhar, but I have said this to Karan Johar also that Ranveer Singh was amazing in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. That's not an easy character to pull off at all.'

Helmed by Karan Johar, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani featured Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead role. Apart from these two the movie also starred Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Anjali Anand, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Churni Ganguly in important roles.
The movie was released in 2023. Though it did not had a massive box office collection, it was still widely enjoyed by audience.
