Udaipur rape case EXPOSES irony as accused CEO's IT firm gave itself near-perfect rating on women-friendly policies

Udaipur Rape Case: A Udaipur-based Information & Technology company named GKM IT Private Limited, belonging to an accused in a rape case, had rated itself 4.7 out of 5. The high score is ironically based on woman-friendliness parameters, according to company records.

Firm's high rating on women-friendly policies exposes IRONY

The firm came under scrutiny after a female manager accused its CEO Jeetesh Sisodia, executive head Shilpa Sirohi, and her husband, Gaurav, of raping her in a moving car earlier this month. The allegations against the accused strongly contrast with the IT firm's near-perfect rating and self-proclaimed standards on the safety and welfare of women.

About the Udaipur rape incident

According to the police, the incident followed a birthday party celebration attended by the complainant at a hotel hosted by Sisodia on December 20. The survivor alleged that some individuals offered to drop her home after she began to feel intoxicated. Instead, the female executive head persuaded her to attend an after-party.

She told investigators that around 1.45 am, she was taken in a car where both the CEO and Shilpa's husband were already present. The victim alleged that she regained consciousness partially during the driver's only to find Jeetesh Sisodia molesting her, and later accused all three of sexually assaulting her inside the car.

Complainant alleges her personal belongings were missing

In her statement, the survivor added that despite repeatedly requesting to be taken home, she was dropped off only around 5 am. When she fully regained consciousness, she noticed that her personal belongings were missing and there were injuries to her private parts.

Car dashcam acts as key evidence

Police said both audio and video footage of the incident were recorded in the dashcam installed in the car. Confirming the arrests, Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal said a case was filed at Sukher police station under relevant sections of the BNS. "The accused were produced before the court and have been remanded to police custody for four days," he said.
