Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official websites, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

According to UPSC, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services in Group 'A' and Group 'B'.

However, the commission said the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional. In addition, the results of two candidates have been withheld for now.

UPSC CSE 2025 selection process

The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year in three stages, preliminary examination, main examination and personality test (interview). The selection process for the 2025 cycle began with the preliminary exam held on May 25, 2025.

Candidates who cleared the prelims appeared for the main examination conducted from August 22 to August 31, 2025. Those who passed the mains were called for the final stage, the personality test or interview.

The interview process concluded on February 27, 2026. Following past trends, UPSC declared the final results within about a week after the interviews ended.

The Civil Services Examination is considered one of the toughest competitive exams in India as it selects officers for top administrative positions such as IAS, IFS and IPS.

Tina Dabi's marksheet goes viral

Meanwhile, as the UPSC 2025 results were announced, the marksheet of former UPSC topper IAS Tina Dabi started going viral on social media. Tina Dabi had secured a total of 1063 marks out of 2025 in her exam, which comes to about 52.49 percent overall.

Her subject-wise marks show strong performance across papers. She scored 145 in the Essay paper, 119 in General Studies Paper 1, 84 in GS Paper 2, 111 in GS Paper 3 and 110 in GS Paper 4.

In her optional subject Political Science, she scored 128 marks in Paper 1 and an impressive 171 marks in Paper 2.
