Vivo X300s specifications revealed: Vivo is slowly sharing information about its upcoming top-of-the-range smartphone, the Vivo X300s.
We expect the phone to launch in China later this month, and it could be released worldwide shortly after. Recent sneak peeks and leaks suggest the smartphone will feature big improvements in photography, screen technology, and battery life compared to the previous model.
200MP Zeiss camera
One of the most exciting features of the Vivo X300s is set to be its 200-megapixel main camera, which has been tweaked by Zeiss. This collaboration with Zeiss is all about making the colours more accurate and boosting the phone's overall photo-taking abilities.
The smartphone is also expected to include a 50MP ultrawide camera. This one uses the Sony LYTIA-818 sensor, which is quite large at 1/1.28 inches. The ultrawide camera is rated for CIPA 6.0 stabilisation, meaning it should deliver much smoother video and better photos in low light.
Some teaser pictures shared by Han Boxiao also hinted at an extra, hidden sensor. This might be a 5MP multispectral camera, designed to really improve how colours are reproduced in images.
Display and design
Vivo X300s is likely to come with a 6.78-inch screen that offers a really fast refresh rate, potentially up to 144Hz. Apparently, the screen will use a special BOE Q10 Plus material, which is meant to make it brighter and more efficient.
Plus, the screen will feature 'Circular Polarised Light 2.0,' a technology designed to make it more comfortable for your eyes if you use it for a long time. Rumours indicate the phone will have a sharp 1.5K OLED screen and a round camera bit on the back, keeping the look of recent top-end Vivo phones.
Performance and hardware
Vivo X300s is likely to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ chip, along with a hefty 7,000mAh battery so it lasts ages.
It's also expected to have a periscope telephoto camera, which should really boost its photo-taking abilities.
Gaming and audio features
Vivo is also concentrating on how good the X300s is for multimedia.
Apparently, the mobile phone will feature a symmetrical dual speaker system called the "1511 War Drum Master." The company says this can boost gaming audio performance by up to 120 per cent.
On top of that, the phone will include a bespoke, highly sensitive vibration motor, which is designed to provide haptic feedback that is 2.2 times wider in bandwidth than older models.
