Shortly after her statement, an X account under the name Amanda Ungaro went viral. The account, which has a blue verification badge and has been active since December 2025, claimed a long-standing personal connection with Melania.
In a threatening post, Ungaro alleged she had known Melania for over 20 years and warned she could reveal "hidden connections." However, the authenticity of this account and its claims has not been independently verified.
Who is Amanda Ungaro?
Amanda Ungaro is reportedly a model who was once associated with Paolo Zampolli, a former modelling agent known for introducing Melania to Donald Trump.
Ungaro has claimed that her connection to Melania and Trump came through Zampolli. She also alleged attending exclusive gatherings, including New Year's events at Mar-a-Lago, where she said only a few couples, including herself and Zampolli, were present with the Trumps.
Ungaro's allegations about Epstein
In an interview with Brazil's O Globo, Ungaro described an unsettling experience involving Jeffrey Epstein. She claimed that at age 17, she flew on Epstein's private jet from Paris to New York alongside multiple young models, arranged by agent Jean-Luc Brunel.
Ungaro said she felt uncomfortable during the trip and sensed something was wrong, though she has not accused Epstein of directly assaulting her. Instead, she has portrayed herself as a victim of the broader modelling network linked to him.
