In heartbreaking news, film producer and former Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chairperson Pahlaj Nihalani passed away at the age of 76. Reports claim that Nihalani had not been keeping well for some time and later died due to an age-related ailment.
He was one of those figures in the Bollywood industry who had launched big names like Govinda and Chunky Panday. While Nihalani had a deep-rooted background in the Bollywood industry, his son Vishal Nihalani also worked in the industry with Akshay Kumar. Scroll down to read more.
Who is Vishal Nihalani ?
Vishal Nihalani, also known as Vicky, is also a film producer, just like his father. He is also an actor. Vishal is known in the industry for his involvement in projects like Talaash: The Hunt Begins and Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost. He worked as a child artist under the name Master Vishal or Vicky Nihalani in the 1980s action film Aag Hi Aag (1987) and Paap Ki Duniya (1988). In the early 2000s, he transitioned to management.
Later, he started working as the primary producer for the comedy-drama film Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost. The movie starred Abhishek Bachchan and Lara Dutta in the lead roles.
Vishal Nihalani and Kareena Kapoor's affair
In 2003, Vishal and Kareena made headlines. In one of those archival interview with Rediff, Kareena openly declared her love for Vishal. Back then Kareena was only 13 years old.
She stated, "Vicky Nihalani and I are kind of soul mates. He has always stood by me. He is my first love… We are still working at our careers. But yes, we are together as of now."
However, the two parted ways due to the demanding career and intense work schedule.
