Among one of those heartwarming moments was star batter Ishan Kishan who was spotted sharing an adorable moment with a girl whose photo went immediately viral.
The girl was later identified as Aditi Hundia who had come to the stadium to support Ishan Kishan. After India sealed the title, the couple celebrated together and it became one of the most-talked about moments on social media.
Kishan played a very crucial role in India's win over New Zealand in the final. He batted a number 3 and delivered an explosive knock of 54 runs off just 25 balls where he smashed four boundaries and four sixes. Apart from his impressive batting display, Kishan also made an impact in the field by taking three brilliant catches, helping India maintain control throughout the match.
Batting first, India set a huge total of 255 runs and the total was powered by half-centuries from Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma. While New Zealand on the other side struggled against India's dominant bowling attack and were eventually bowled out following which India registered a 96 runs victory.
