Everything to know about Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL

Google's upcoming flagships Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL are two of the most anticipated smartphones of 2019.

So far, the company itself has "leaked" the new design of these handsets and teased their marquee features, while trusted tipsters have revealed key details about their camera, display, as well as hardware specifications.

Here, we collated everything there is to know about the Pixel 4 duo.

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL: At a glance

Right of the bat, the Pixel 4 series will feature a notch-less display with slim bezels on three sides and a thick top bezel. Google has adopted this "forehead design" to pack sensors for Motion Sense (more on that later) and Face Unlock features.

On the rear, the phones will offer a monochrome glass panel that will house a new square-shaped multi-sensor camera system.

All about Motion Sense and Face Unlock

Notably, Google has already confirmed that Motion Sense and Face Unlock features are coming to the Pixel 4 series.

Motion Sense is a Soli radar-powered feature that uses software algorithms and hardware sensor to recognize touch-free gestures.

Moreover, the phones will also come with an IR-camera based Face Unlock feature that will use the Soli radar to offer a seamless unlocking experience.

Google Pixel 4 series to offer 90Hz OLED displays

Now, going by a recent leak, the Pixel 4 will feature a 5.8-inch full-HD+ OLED screen while the XL model will get a larger and sharper 6.3-inch QHD+ OLED display.

The screens on both the handsets will also support a 90Hz refresh rate to allow for smoother scrolling and swiping experience, more fluid animations, as well as an overall better gaming experience.

Google will also offer upgraded cameras on Pixel 4 phones

Traditionally, Pixel phones are known to offer top-of-the-line camera performance and that too, with just a single sensor. And now, that's set to get even better.

The Pixel 4 duo are tipped to come with a dual-lens rear camera comprising a 12MP standard lens and a 16MP telephoto lens.

On the front, the handsets are likely to come with a single selfie snapper.

Under the hood

As per leaks, the Pixel 4-series will be backed by the Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with upto 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of built-in storage.

The standard Pixel 4 will pack a 2,800mAh battery while the XL model will have a 3,700mAh battery.

Lastly, both handsets will also come with stereo speakers, Titan M security chip, revamped Google Assistant and the latest Android Q OS.

Google Pixel 4 series is set to launch in Fall

Reportedly, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will arrive sometime in October at Google's 4th annual Made by Google event. And as for pricing, we expect the standard model to cost between $900-1000 (Rs. 65,000) while the XL model will arrive upwards of $1,000.
