The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched a new mission in Ladakh, aimed at testing the mental and physical strengths of astronauts.
The project, dubbed Mission MITRA (Mapping of Interoperable Traits and Response Assessment), will study the physiological, psychological, and operational dynamics of gaganyatris (astronauts) and ground teams working in a high-altitude environment. The research data generated will directly benefit the Gaganyaan program as well as future long-duration missions.
