We noticed that claims about Dhoni's retirement have been on social media from at least April 3, 2025. However, Dhoni played the match between CSK and DC on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

A keyword search for "MS Dhoni", "retirement" and "IPL" on Google did not yield any credible reports stating that the CSK player has announced his retirement from the tournament.
