The teaser for Sanjay Dutt's forthcoming film 'Aakhri Sawal' was released on April 2, coinciding with Hanuman Ji Janmotsav. The brief preview introduces the film's core theme, centred on questions and debates surrounding truth, history, and the perspectives of youth.
The narrative follows Vicky, an astute and inquisitive student, who disputes his mentor, Professor Gopal Nadkarni, after his thesis is rejected. What starts as a personal academic disagreement expands into a nationwide debate, culminating in a significant guru-shishya confrontation.
Last month, the film’s first-look poster was unveiled along with its release date announcement. The poster displays Dutt in a serious and intense expression, encompassed by a large question mark. The design employs dark colours and fiery visuals, creating a strong and mysterious atmosphere. The poster’s tagline states, “The Question India Never Stopped Asking,” which aligns with the film’s theme.
‘Aakhri Sawal’ is produced by Nikhil Nanda, Dhanraj Nathwani, and Sanjay Dutt, supported by Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures and Neem Tree Entertainment. The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra.
The film is scheduled for release on May 15, 2026.
