Amateur golfer Lavanya Gupta maintained composure and delivered a steady performance as she clinched the title at the fifth leg of the Women's Pro Golf Tour held at the DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram, Haryana.
According to a release from WGAI Golf, Gupta recorded a 2-over 74 on the final day, matching the second-best score of the day. Her rounds of 71, 72, and 74 brought her total to 1-over 217, enabling her to win by five shots ahead of Durga Nittur and Jasmine Shekar, who shared second place with 6-over 222 totals.
Durga Nittur carded rounds of 75, 70, and 77, while Jasmine Shekar posted 70, 74, and 78. Amandeep Drall finished fourth alone with a total of 224 after a final round of 75, and Sneha Singh took fifth place at 227 following a 77 on the last day.
Mahreen Bhatia, the previous amateur winner of the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour who triumphed in the 15th and final leg of the 2025 season at Jaypee Wishtown Golf Course, finished sixth with a final round of 78 and total score of 228.
On the final day, Gupta began with six consecutive pars before a bogey on the seventh hole and a birdie on the eighth. She recorded a double bogey on the 10th but then parred the remaining eight holes.
Durga Nittur had one birdie and one bogey on the front nine, followed by a double bogey and three bogeys on the back nine. Jasmine Shekar similarly posted a birdie and a bogey on the front nine with a double bogey and four bogeys on the back nine.
Neha Tripathi concluded in seventh place with a 74, and Mannat Brar was eighth after an 82. Four players - Lavanya Jadon, Anvvi Dahhiya, amateur Aradhana Manikandan, and Saanvi Somu - tied for ninth place with scores of 78, 78, 81, and 83 respectively.
Among notable WGAI players, Tvesa Malik, a winner earlier this season, scored 80 and tied for 15th, while Ridhima Dilawari, also a 2026 winner, tied for 19th with a final round of 77.
The course presented a challenge, with only one player recording an under-par round. Anvitha Narender shot 1-under 71, finishing tied for 16th place.
The event attracted 57 entries and featured a prize purse of Rs18 lakh.
Ridhima Dilawari continues to lead the Order of Merit with earnings of Rs. 7,61,667, followed by Jasmine Shekar with Rs 5,68,333, and Sneha Singh with Rs 4,86,000.
The sixth leg of the tour will take place at Jaypee Wishtown Golf Course in Noida from March 17 to 20, 2026.
