Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah unveiled the 'Bharat Mata Sculpture' installed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation near New Vadaj Circle in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
During the event, Amit Shah paid respect to the newly unveiled sculpture while attendees raised slogans praising Bharat Mata, creating a patriotic atmosphere.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation had installed the approximately 18-foot-high sculpture in the city’s West Zone near New Vadaj Circle.
Also present were Minister of State Darshna Vaghela, Ahmedabad Mayor Hitesh Barot, Deputy Mayor Anju Shah, local Members of Parliament and MLAs, Standing Committee Chairman Kamlesh Patel, along with other office-bearers, dignitaries, and citizens.
Earlier, Shah inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects valued at Rs 340 crore in the Kalol and Gandhinagar (North) Assembly constituencies of Gandhinagar. He also inaugurated a primary school.
Addressing the gathering, the Home Minister stated that in the previous 10 days he had inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth Rs 1,200 crore across two Assembly constituencies in Gandhinagar district.
He expressed confidence that by the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, the development of gardens and ponds in every village of the Kalol and Gandhinagar (North) Assembly constituencies would be completed.
Shah remarked that the development campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gujarat 25 years ago had now reached its peak and expressed confidence that Gandhinagar would become the most developed parliamentary constituency in the country.
Noting that the development journey started by Modi from Gujarat continues uninterrupted, the Minister said the Modi government had completed 12 years in office, during which the Gujarat model of development has expanded from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gangasagar to Somnath.
He added that as a result, the party is currently in power across nearly 80 per cent of India’s geographical area.
