Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a personal reflection on his mother's care and the power of simplicity in his latest blog entry.
In a post titled DAY 6634 and written from his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, Bachchan discussed how life’s persistent challenges can often be eased by minor adjustments. He questioned why people invest “time, energy, and strain” on issues that might be resolved more simply.
Central to the post was a nostalgic memory of his late mother, Teji Bachchan, whom he described as possessing “homemade ingenuity” in caring for him as a child. He recalled how she would warm a rounded ball of her dupatta with her breath and place it over his eyes, providing “immediate relief.”
“She is not with us now, but just thinking of those moments brings that care, confidence, and assurance again,” he wrote.
The actor noted that his mother’s reassuring phrase, “all shall be well Beta,” continues to guide him decades later. He concluded by blessing mothers everywhere and encouraged his “Extended Family” (Ef) of readers to stay connected.
This reflective post follows another entry dated April 16, in which the 83-year-old actor spoke about the importance of staying active and maintaining momentum in life. Drawing on his father’s writings, Bachchan emphasised that “Keep the body mobile, keep the mind mobile and the strength of mobility shall be evident.”
Professionally, he was last seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Ashwin and co-starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. He also recently finished hosting the 17th season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’
