Describing the debut as “nothing short of magical,” Kher shared his feelings on Instagram, stating that the evening was more than just a premiere. He explained the performance evolved into an “emotional conversation” between the cast and an engaged audience, setting the stage for what he called a “spectacular start.”

The production features a distinguished creative team. Gajendra Ahire wrote and directed the play, while veteran composer Anu Malik made his stage debut with the musical score. The lyrics were written by Kausar Munir, whom the team described as both “heartbreaking and heart-lifting.”

The musical aspect is further enhanced by vocals from Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh, and Anandi, whose voices provide the emotional core of the play.

Kher, a long-time advocate of theatre as the “purest form of storytelling,” expressed gratitude towards his co-actors and technical crew for facilitating a smooth transition from rehearsals to live performance. He also acknowledged international promoter Rajender Singh, who travelled from Houston to attend the premiere.

The play has already received praise from the film and theatre community. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit described Kher’s performance as that of a “rockstar,” while actor Parvin Dabas called the production “both entertaining and emotional.”
