Academy Award-winning musician AR Rahman will perform at the Chennai Super Kings' Roar 26 mega fan event on March 22, the team announced.
According to the Chennai Super Kings website, AR Rahman will deliver a special live performance at the event, transforming the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk into a vibrant arena of music and lights filled with celebration and immersive fan experiences.
Roar 26 will also feature the reunion of ‘OG’ Super Kings players, including Suresh Raina, Matthew Hayden, M Vijay, and S Badrinath, who will face the current Chennai Super Kings squad in a series of high-energy matches described as never seen before on the team’s official website. The event honours the journey of the Chennai Super Kings and the devotion of their fans.
The team shared the event poster on their Instagram account on Saturday, stating, “FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! CSK stars, OG Super Kings and A.R. Rahman are coming together for one unforgettable night!”
AR Rahman, an acclaimed musician in the Indian cinema industry, recently composed the music for Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, which stars Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, Sharvari, and Naseeruddin Shah. The film’s lyrics were written by Irshad Kamil.
