Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal drew attention at the IPL match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday while accompanying PBKS co-owner and fellow actor Preity Zinta at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Punjab.
Visuals from the event, which have circulated widely, showed both celebrities attracting interest from fans present at the stadium and online. While Zinta was actively cheering for her team, Rampal also showed his support from the stands.
During the match, Rampal was featured on the big screen applauding PBKS batsman Priyansh Arya, who scored an impressive 93 runs off 37 balls. The actor wore a red polo t-shirt, whereas Zinta appeared in a white ethnic suit.
The duo's photographs provoked nostalgia among fans, many of whom expressed hopes for further collaborations.
In the match, Priyansh Arya was poised for a second IPL century but was caught at long-off by Mitchell Marsh in the 15th over after scoring 93 runs, including four boundaries and nine sixes. His dismissal was the third for PBKS with the team at 187 runs.
Arya's performance was notable for its dominance at the crease, narrowly missing the century mark.
Regarding their latest work, Arjun Rampal has earned acclaim for his lead role as Major Iqbal in the 'Dhurandhar' franchise. Preity Zinta recently shared her positive review of 'Dhurandhar 2' on social media.
On her X account, Zinta described her viewing experience in detail and shared photos with Rampal and casting director Mukesh Chabbra. She wrote: "Just watched Dhurandhar 2 & all I wanna say is 'Revenge ho toh Dhurandhar jaisa ho warna na ho'.
