Several leading performers from Bangladesh advanced significantly in the latest ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings following their strong performance against New Zealand.
Bangladesh secured a six-wicket victory in the second ODI at Mirpur, drawing the three-match series level.
Tanzid Hasan notably anchored the chase with a composed 76 runs, resulting in a rise of 14 places to enter the top 40 in the ODI batting rankings. Towhid Hridoy, who remained unbeaten on 30 in the same match, also advanced five positions to equal 26th.
New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell retains the top spot among ODI batters despite sitting out the series in Bangladesh. In the bowling rankings, spinner Rishad Hossain moved up 10 places to equal 58th, while pacer Nahid Rana climbed 32 spots to 64th after collectively taking six wickets in the Mirpur match.
Left-armer Shoriful Islam rejoined the bowler rankings at 39th after taking two wickets in each of the first two matches against New Zealand. These games marked the 24-year-old's return to 50-over cricket since the end of 2024.
The T20 rankings were also affected by the conclusion of Scotland's tour of Namibia. Scotland won the three-match T20I series 2-1, with opener George Munsey advancing seven spots to equal 21st in T20I batting rankings after scoring a century in the final match.
Mark Watt, a teammate of Munsey, rose 10 places to 47th in T20I bowling rankings after taking three wickets across two matches. Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus improved in both batting and all-rounder standings, following a strong series performance. Erasmus accumulated 145 runs in three innings, moving up 24 places to 73rd in T20I batting rankings and climbing five positions to 10th in the all-rounder chart.
