The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that its post-result portal for verification and re-evaluation of answer books will be operational from June 1, 2026, to ensure a 'transparent and glitch-free process.'
In a press statement, CBSE said: “In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026. This is to ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation.”
Students with queries can contact the CBSE Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004 or email resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in, the board added.
The decision was made as CBSE prepares to begin post-result activities for those seeking verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer sheets.
On Tuesday, CBSE refuted claims that the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system had been compromised, stating the URL circulating on social media differed from the portal used for answer book evaluation. The board said the portal used for evaluation was neither compromised nor vulnerable.
CBSE stated on X that it had previously shared the URL https://cbse.onmark.co.in with an extra ‘s’ inadvertently and issued a corrected post with the accurate URL.
Regarding post-result support, CBSE reported receiving 404,319 applications for scanned copies of answer books, with 1,131,961 answer books requested, and 898,214 furnished digitally so far.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan instructed the deployment of teams comprising professors and technical experts from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, to assist CBSE in ensuring a glitch-free re-evaluation process.
Earlier, numerous Class 12 students reported technical glitches, such as blank pages, unresponsive links, and captcha issues when attempting to apply for verification and re-evaluation on the CBSE portal, although the board maintained the website was functioning properly.
On Tuesday, CBSE opened post-result facilities through its official websites amid concerns over lower-than-expected Class 12 scores and the implementation of the OSM system. However, many students claimed they were unable to access the portal, experiencing redirection to blank or non-responsive pages.
CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj responded that the portal was functioning correctly and suggested that connectivity issues might explain the problems.
In response to criticism, CBSE reduced the fees for post-result processes: fees for verification and re-evaluation were cut to Rs 100, photocopying fees from Rs 700 to Rs 100, and the fee for re-checking each question was fixed at Rs 25.
