Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 970th goal of his professional career as Al Nassr defeated Al Ahli 2-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Wednesday.
The match remained goalless at half-time before Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 76th minute. Kingsley Coman secured the victory with a goal in the 90th minute.
With this win, Al Nassr continues to lead the Saudi Pro League, holding first place with 26 wins, one draw, and three losses, accumulating 79 points. Their closest competitors, Al Hilal, have 21 wins and eight draws, totalling 71 points.
Ronaldo was named Player of the Match for his performance. Al Nassr will next face Al Qadsiah on May 3 in the 31st round of the league.
After the game, Ronaldo shared a message on social media, posting on X, “YALLA!! WE ARE AL NASSR!!”
Al Nassr is currently enjoying a 20-match winning streak across all competitions, which began in January with a 3-2 victory against Al Shabab.
Previously, Al Nassr secured a place in the final of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two after Kingsley Coman scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 semifinal win against Al Ahli.
The final is scheduled for May 16, when Al Nassr will face Gamba Osaka in Riyadh.
