Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared a comprehensive package of development projects and infrastructure enhancements for the Jind assembly constituency during the 'Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally' held on Sunday.
The Chief Minister committed to exhaustive efforts for the area’s development, announcing an additional Rs 5 crore for rural area improvements alongside initiatives to upgrade healthcare, education, transport, roads and civic infrastructure in the constituency.
Key projects include construction of a divider on the Civil Hospital-Pandu Pindara-Gohana Road at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore, and the development of a model road from Thandi Halwai shop via Ramrai Gate and Jhanj Gate up to Rupiya Chowk.
An auditorium with parking facilities at Rani Talab has been allocated Rs 60 crore. Plans were also outlined to relocate the fire station to the old bus stand site and convert Palika Bazaar into a smart market.
The Chief Minister announced installation of modern poles and street lighting across city roads, as well as constructing a community centre on the former bus stand land after departmental relocations.
Additional projects include shifting the meat market outside the city at Rs 5 crore, developing a park in Ward No. 30 pending land availability, building a veterinary hospital in Julani, and constructing a new veterinary hospital building in Amrahedi.
Haibatpur village will be included in the Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon Yojana, and electricity lines worth Rs 5 crore from Shiv Chowk via Punjabi Bazaar to the City Police Station area will be placed underground. Repairs to electricity lines in Julani village agricultural fields will also be undertaken.
A paramedical college is planned on vacant land within the General Hospital premises, alongside the construction of a sub-health centre in Ahirka village and reconstruction of the mortuary at the Civil Hospital in Jind.
The Government College will see the addition of an arts block, and an HSVP office building costing Rs 5 crore is to be constructed on Safidon Road.
Social organisations including Om Shanti, Brahmin and Dhanak will receive plots in HSVP sectors based on applications and rules.
Infrastructure work includes a bridge on the Hansi branch canal and canal reconstruction from RD 1650 to RD 17900 tail, canal colony reconstruction at Rs 10 crore, a farm access road bridge in Kheri Taloda village, and pond renovation in Ikkas village.
Restoration of Vansh Mulk Teerth in Barsola village and beautification of Pandu Pindara Teerth with a Rs 2 crore budget were also announced.
A letter will be sent to the NHAI for constructing the Jind Ring Road.
Sewerage lines and a 10 MLD sewage treatment plant will be installed in newly approved colonies. To enhance drinking water supply, five new tubewells will be installed at various Jind city locations, and new pipelines laid to provide canal water in Kairkhedi and Ahirka villages.
