Led by Suryakumar Yadav, India faced a challenging situation after the loss to South Africa and needed to win against the West Indies. Thanks to Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 97, India secured a five-wicket victory to confirm their place in the semi-finals.
England have also won six of their seven matches in the tournament and are on a five-match winning streak. Despite their successes, some matches tested them considerably. They narrowly escaped defeat against Nepal and struggled against Pakistan in the Super 8s, with captain Harry Brook standing out. England’s only loss came against the West Indies in the group stage.
