The recruitment drive took place from October 13 to October 17.

Organised by the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Silchar under the Headquarters Recruiting Zone (North East States) Shillong, the rally was conducted in close coordination with the local Army Formation of Spear Corps and the Civil Administration of Tripura.

This year, the rally saw record participation from Tripura, with 1,203 aspirants shortlisted following the Common Entrance Examination (CEE). The enthusiasm displayed by the youth is expected to result in more than double the selection rate compared to the previous year, leading to a significantly higher intake of Agniveers from the state.

Throughout the five-day event, candidates underwent a multi-stage evaluation process assessing physical fitness, operational capability and medical readiness. The rally’s seamless execution was enabled by effective military-civil cooperation.

The Civil Administration of Tripura State, State Police and management of the Dasarath Deb State Sports Complex provided logistical support, including dedicated holding areas for candidates, drinking water facilities, emergency medical stations and crowd management arrangements.

The Indian Army expressed gratitude to the local administration, medical teams, security forces and citizens of Tripura, recognising their combined efforts in ensuring the event proceeded smoothly, safely and in a disciplined manner.

Reaffirming its commitment under the Agnipath Scheme, the Indian Army emphasised that the entire selection process was conducted transparently, fairly, and on merit. The rally offered an equal opportunity for motivated youth across Tripura to pursue the aim of serving the nation with pride, discipline and dedication.
